Push to establish Rebellion group in Riverina.
There is a new push to improve financial and social outcomes for gays, bisexuals and people of mixed gender living in the Riverina.
A meeting in Wagga on Saturday afternoon aims to establish a local branch of the non-profit volunteer group, Rebellion.
One of the organisers, Ray Goodlass, says despite their numbers, discrimination against homosexuals and bisexuals is still common.

"We're still arguing to try and get financial equality in terms of things like superannuation and so forth," he said.
"In some ways we've gone backwards with the marriage amendment bill. So, no, I don't think we have come all that far.
"At [the] state level, same sex civil unions would seem to me to be a very important issue."
